Inspired by the “outside world, in particular biology and the question of the origin of life”, Russian artist Igor Verniy creates amazing articulated steampunk animal sculptures from scrap metal, silverware, old car parts, watches and electronics.
Verniy starts by observing the movements of animals out in nature and then he replicates them within his sculptures.
In his work, it’s not just the large amount of details that makes these creations come to life, but they are also made to be fully articulated enabling each piece to be posed in several lifelike positions.
You can see more of his work over on his Facebook page.
