Graphic designer Matt W. Moore is known for his geometric paintings, products, and street art, vibrantly-colored and full of energy and motion.
He has always been attracted to the infinite possibilities of geometric mandala grids, painting dozens of them on canvases and walls.
Back in 2014, when Moore traveled to Eden, Utah for an artist residency, he developed a series of mosaic mandalas, made entirely from natural elements collected from Powder Mountain and the surrounding valleys.
River pebbles and stones, shale, red rocks, bark, cattails, dried wild grasses and dead branches were skillfully arranged into captivating geometric designs.
The ‘Mosaic Mandala Series‘ explore the beauty of Utah, and celebrate the native color palette of the landscape.
