Indonesian artist Dedy Shofianto creates stunning kinetic sculptures of insects carved almost entirely in jati and pine wood. The insects are powered by small hidden electronics which set in motion their detailed mandibles, wings, antennae, gears and legs.
Shofianto created his intricate kinetic creatures while still in school; he graduated from Art Institute of Indonesia in 2015. See more of his works at Redbase Contemporary Art.
