For his series entitled ‘Transmogrify 2‘, New Jersey-based photographer and printmaker Michael Massaia uses chewed gum as an artistic medium for his creative sculptures.
His pieces are sculpted from a single piece of chewed gum which he molds using his hands, tongue, and teeth and range from anatomical organs, flowers, sea creatures, clothing, and other abstract shapes.
After Michael forms his creations, he mounts them onto black plexiglass and photograph them.
See his entire project on his website.
